Plain-language summary: Use NaijaLearn honestly. Only upload materials you have the right to share. Don't abuse the platform. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using NaijaLearn (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
These terms apply to all users — teachers, parents, students, and visitors — regardless of whether you have an account.
2. Accounts
To upload resources or save favourites, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering
- Keep your password confidential and not share your account
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have parental awareness of their use of the platform.
3. Content and uploads
NaijaLearn allows teachers to upload educational materials. By uploading content, you:
- Confirm that you own the content or have the right to share it
- Grant NaijaLearn a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute the content on the platform
- Agree that uploaded resources will be publicly accessible to all NaijaLearn users
- Understand that NaijaLearn may remove content that violates these terms without notice
Do not upload content that belongs to someone else without permission. This includes textbooks, past questions from examination bodies (WAEC, NECO, JAMB) that are not in the public domain, or materials marked as confidential.
4. Intellectual property
The NaijaLearn platform — including its design, logo, code, and branding — is the intellectual property of NaijaLearn. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
Content uploaded by teachers remains the intellectual property of the original creator. NaijaLearn does not claim ownership of user-uploaded materials.
5. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Upload false, misleading, or deliberately incorrect educational content
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your credentials
- Use the platform for commercial purposes without our consent (e.g. spam, bulk advertising)
- Attempt to access, reverse engineer, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure
- Upload malware, harmful scripts, or any content designed to damage devices
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Create multiple accounts to evade a suspension
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, at our discretion.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. All your uploaded resources and personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
NaijaLearn may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or are inactive for extended periods. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless the violation is severe.
7. Disclaimers
NaijaLearn provides a platform for sharing educational resources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or curriculum-alignment of user-uploaded content, even for verified resources.
The platform is provided "as is." We make no warranties about uptime, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the platform or its content.
Always cross-reference lesson materials with official NERDC curricula and your school's guidelines.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through the platform. Continued use of NaijaLearn after changes means you accept the updated terms.
